"Pretty Steep"

In spite of everything, it’s quiet now, we lost a ring, it wasn’t bells that led them to the door
It didn’t fold, it didn’t catch, it didn’t rest, it didn’t cast a living shadow to the floor

And O! This one is elevated!
as it’s moving from the mattress to the floor
And O! Ventilated!
as it's moving from the window to the door

And all that talk and all that work,
and all that's left undone,
bound around a restless sound
that's ugly as it's old

And O! The sun is elevated!
Shut the blinds and treat the pages like a door

"What happens here when we’re not?"

When the lines passed are long...

When the rest of the page is gone...

It’s defined by space...

It’s defined by lines...

"Admiring the Midst"

Half passed around, half past the wake, that kingdom’s come to stay,

and I couldn’t reach the walls now, and oh, the weight

"The Ringer"

SAME fight
all day
